Strategic Responsibility:
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating daily workflow related to processing vendor invoices for Accounts Payable. This position will also ensure that vendor payments are in compliance with 1099 reporting.
Job Description:
- Prioritize daily workload for Accounts Payable to ensure vendor invoices are paid in accordance with company policies.
- Obtain approval of A/P invoices, enter A/P invoices into the ERP and ensure that bills are paid timely.
- Audit that invoices and purchases are following the organizations purchasing policy prior to payment.
- Check other AP clerks invoices to ensure proper coding and payment information.
- Administer 1099 compliance, prepare 1099s and corresponding reports related to year end.
- Assist other team members thru data entry of invoices in job cost database, month end close journal entries and maintain spreadsheets.
- Audit expense reports to be in compliance with expense policy and administer Expense Management system as well as ensure all employees are timely with submitting their expense reports.
- Administer the expense management system for user set-ups and corporate card requests.
- Complete external auditors inquiries and requests as necessary.
- Pull together monthly accruals for invoices that have been received but not paid for month end close.
- Responsible for other duties and projects as assigned.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education: Some college with Accounting coursework preferred
Experience: 1-2 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in Accounts Payable
Specialized Knowledge/Certification: JDEdwards and Cashpro experience a plus
Equipment Knowledge: JD Edwards, Vertex, Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
