Our team establishes structural designs based on IBC/ASCE requirements, including building loads, creating structural narratives & calculations of the gravity & lateral systems. As a newer branch of DMA, we have quickly established strong relationships with the top clients and businesses within the Philadelphia/tri-state region. Our Philadelphia Structural team is looking for a hands-on Project Manager with previous building design experience who is ready to jump in & support the team.
Our ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree, has 10 years or related experience, a minimum of 8 years in structural design & holds a Professional Engineering License in the state of Pennsylvania.

Essential Duties
- Serve as Senior Structural Engineer, prepare & implement design calculations and analysis on all assigned projects & structures.
- Review client requested proposals or plans to determine procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources for all phases of each project (estimating, scheduling, design, permitting, construction support and close-out).
- Supports and develops project proposals through establishing, delegating, and performing the outlined work plan, assignments and staffing for each phase of assigned project(s), including, but not limited to durations, hourly rates, budget, and schedule.
- Serve as primary contact for exchange of project information and communication between the firm and the client, with the support of senior staff.
- Complete and review status reports and monitor intermediate and internal design reviews, such that documents adhere to the firm’s standards for completeness, quality, and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with the client’s standards.
- Prepare project reports and schedules for management and client requests.
- Ensure that all forms and scoping documents are complete and available for project team consumption.
- Direct and review approach used by project staff in completing assignments.
- Confer with other project managers and senior project staff to ascertain coordination, completeness, and accuracy of critical technical and non-technical requirements.
- Provides technical support or clarification on questions from the client, or members of the project team.
- Write technical reports, memos, or other correspondence that conform to the prescribed style and format of the client and the firm. This may include final exhibit reviews and legal descriptions based on division and state requirements.
- May sign/seal drawings or other required documentation based on division and firm policies.
- May support Division Recruitment efforts including participation in virtual & in-person interviews.
- May provide and support initial new hire and ongoing training as applicable.
- Support marketing efforts through technical writing in response to RFQs and RFPs.
- Monitors new technology, evaluates, and recommends purchase of new equipment, software, and supplies.
- Follow and abide by the DMA employee and safety manuals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary : $115,000 - $135,000
