Title: Import/Export Coordinator
About the Role: Responsible for the timely and accurate coordination of domestic, import/export transportation. Monitor all domestic and international transportation to ensure customers receive product intact and on time. Responsible for making sure we remain in compliance with customs regulations and supporting the transportation requirements of internal and external customers.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor shipments and update daily in-transit reports for our distribution center / corporate office, as well as for the DY Thailand office.
- Work directly with carriers to file and follow up freight claims.
- Organize and act as gatekeeper for customs recordkeeping.
- Assist in obtaining rate quotes for freight shipments when needed.
- Maintain our high standard of compliance by assisting with tariff classification, country of origin, free trade agreement qualification and Fish & Wildlife/CITES processes.
- Assist in developing and updating department procedures.
- Open, verify, monitor and close carnets/temporary imports.
- Provide effective feedback to outside vendors on shipping guidelines.
- Support global customs and export compliance initiatives.
- Serve as an initial escalation point for in-transit issues with carriers by partnering with customer care, corporate teams, and retail.
- Develop into a company resource for trade and transportation issues.
- Helping to support other departments when the need arises.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The coordinator position is a hands-on position. Must be organized, detail and task orientated and can handle multiple priorities.
- In addition, this person must have the skills to effectively oversee daily shipment flow in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Must be interested in developing skills and knowledge in the area of trade and transportation.
- Computer knowledge: Good Excel skills, Word, Access; adaptive to new systems.

Salary : $46,300 - $58,600
