About the Opportunity: 

People Operations Coordinator | $60-65k

David Zwirner is in search of a People Operations Coordinator to work within our People Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher and have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related human resources function. This role demands exceptional organizational capabilities, a strategic mindset for managing multiple projects, and a keen eye for detail, all while fostering a collaborative environment that upholds our high standards.

What you’ll do: 

• Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes. 


• Assist with recruitment as assigned.


• Provide support with benefits and COBRA administration, managing paid leave and workers’ compensation claims, and helping with employee perks management. Act as liaison between staff and insurance providers.


• Respond to employee inquiries about PTO, benefits, and company policies.


• Maintain internal records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.


• Ensure accurate employee records are maintained and secured across all platforms.


• Prepare correspondence as required, such as verification of employment letters and unemployment claims. 


• Assist with HRIS updates and reporting, timekeeping, and paid time off management; liaise between staff and payroll provider.


• Handle the management of departmental expenses.


• Communicate with vendors and assist in planning department events and staff engagement.


• Schedule meetings and interviews, as requested.


• Support the People Operations team in tasks and projects as needed.

What we would like you to have:

• Bachelors degree


• 1-3 years of Human Resources or related experience, preferably in the  gallery, museum, or similarly creative organization


• Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and solutions-focused approach


• Capable of working flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization


• Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills


• A strong commitment to discretion and the ability to keep sensitive details confidential
