Position Summary
The Legal Recruiting Coordinator supports the Manager, Legal Recruiting with aspects of attorney recruiting and hiring, including on-campus/law student recruitment and the summer associate program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with law schools on student recruitment, including registration for on-campus interviews and job fairs
- Coordinating recruitment events, attending, and tracking specific events
- Scheduling applicants for callback interviews and tracking school-specific offers
- Assisting in planning the summer associate program, including planning and attending summer events
- Preparing and tracking summer associate evaluations
- Preparing law school surveys and feedback forms
- Assisting with law school presentations and programs
- Greeting applicants, providing office tours, and escorting applicants to interviews
- Additional projects assigned by department Chiefs and Managers
- Attending NALP and BALRA sponsored programs
- Assisting with local office Affinity group events and collaborating with the firm's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department
Qualifications/Position Requirements
- Self-motivated, proactive, positive team player
- Punctual, reliable, flexible, and able to work long hours as needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills, interacting collaboratively and effectively with attorneys and staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to proofread
- Able to prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain high standards of work quality
- Professional maturity and discretion when managing confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other necessary tools
- Travel required for recruiting events
- Experience with viDesktop is an asset
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2-4 years' recruiting experience in a law firm environment or equivalent education and work experience preferred
