The Days Inn Orange Park has an immediate opening for an experienced Hotel Front Desk Agent.
Front Desk Agents are responsible for greeting and registering the guest, providing excellent guest service during their stay, and inputting, maintaining, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay. To be successful in this role, you will need to extend professionalism and courtesy, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position may require flexible scheduling availability.
Job Requirements:
- Check-in/Check-out hotel guests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Manage phone reservations.
- Process payments according to established hotel requirements.
- Follow all cash handling procedures and credit policies.
- Provide information and assistance to all guests.
- Familiar with hotel hospitality terminology.
- Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations or walk-ins and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
- Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the front desk computer system.
- Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling, which will vary.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which requires wearing the proper uniform.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience with hotel reservation software (PMS) SynXis, SynXis Property Hub, Opera, etc. preferred.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures outlined by management.
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Ability to work in stressful situations.
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service.
- Understanding of how third-party travel websites operate (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.)

THERE IS NO ELEVATOR AT THIS PROPERTY; REQUIREMENT TO CLIMB STAIRS MULTIPLE TIMES PER SHIFT. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing, and other factors.
