What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly - 1st Shift - L3 position at Dayton-Phoenix Group, Inc.?
The position of Assembly - Blade & Hub, Fuel Pump, Rotating Electrical Assembly & Test (360 frame and smaller) Stator Pack Assembly will be responsible for fulfilling the duties required within Dept 131.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
Candidates must demonstrate during the trial period, the ability to perform the above listed responsibilities while producing quality parts, to print, at the routed rate and in a safe manner while maintaining accuracy of counts, and part numbers. The progress of any candidates selected for this posting shall be evaluated during the trial period to assure that the job requirements are being met.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Training and/or Experience in the Troubleshooting & Repair of Rotating Electrical products
- Experience and understanding of using all measuring devices, gages, and electrical testing equipment
- Must have basic math skills – adding/subtracting/angles/fractions/etc.
- Must comprehend and use assembly prints/ work instructions and tolerances and wiring schematics (standard Work)
- Ability to understand and perform setups per work instruction/process specifications
- Ability to work on feet most of the day
- Must be able to work with hands
- Must have the ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to parts
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
- Mechanical ability to use hand tools
- Ability to safely operate a hoist
- Move and position heavy objects with hoist
- Must be able to lift and load stators and rotors using fixtures and overhead hoist
- Ability to work safety from an elevated position
- Ability to operate hand truck and/or forklift
- Use hand tools and grinders as required
- Must be able to perform at routed rate
- Must have great attention to detail
- Must be willing to work with electrical components
- Must be able to work in a group setting
- Ability to use and comprehend inspection tools
- Ability to work with high voltage and high heat
- Must keep work area organized, clean and safe
- Must have the ability to safely pick up and place up to 40 pounds
