The Inside Sales Manager position will lead the Inside Sales team and implement sales strategies that will ensure excellent relationships with external customers are maintained, while helping the team focus on reaching and exceeding sales goals. This role is responsible for company sales objectives, initiatives, business development and policy for the Inside Sales Department. It will oversee the success and effectiveness of their team in delivering profitable growth. It will rely on their sales and sales management experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in alignment with business objectives. As a people manager, the position will perform a variety of tasks leading and supporting the work of others.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, manage and motivate a team of Inside Sales Representatives to implement a sales strategy to meet sales targets
- Coach and train a team of ISR’s to improve technique and approach
- Manage the agreed levels of customer interaction to raise revenue streams
- Compile and interpret relevant reports
- Work with other leads and managers to develop inside sales campaigns and strategies
- Lead team meetings
- Conduct formal performance reviews of team members on a quarterly basis
- Weekly/monthly updates on performance metrics should be provided as lead in to formalized reviews
- Operate as a leader and constantly reinforce the goals and objectives of the company and the inside sales group
- Be able to develop fundamental/functional plans as needed
- Establish clearly defined sales plans to support company’s financial and sales goals
- Bring forward and implement ideas/concepts on how to accelerate sales activity recognize where other opportunities may exist
- Prepare and present sales reports as needed/requested
- Monitor and measure performance of sales and profitability, perform analysis, develop strategic sales/financial plans for the inside sales team
- Work in a team environment and build trusting relationships with all internal contacts
- Contribute your knowledge and expertise to those around you to elevate their knowledge/performance
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units
- Some local travel is required during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected a couple times a year
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Inside Sales & Customer Service experience
- Ability to lead and motivate an Inside Sales Team
- Sales Mindset
- Ability to provide excellent customer service with a customer focused approach
- Results oriented personality and the ability to overcome obstacles
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication
