DC Management, a high-performing property management company based in Portland, ME is seeking a professional and compassionate individual to join our growing team as part-time Resident Services Coordinator (RSC). This RSC position will support residents living in affordable housing 55 communities located in the Rockland & Belfast areas. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to enrich the resident community by ensuring residents have access to community and onsite services they may need.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, show a genuine sense of caring and have experience and knowledge in the provision of support services and resources for older adults.
Responsibilities:
- Work with residents to resolve individual as well as group conflicts.
- Model appropriate behavior and maintain appropriate boundaries.
- Help market the property through networking contacts in the community.
- Maintain records regarding provision of services.
- Develop a working knowledge of housing rules and issues such as reasonable accommodations, lease and lease violations, etc.
- Meet with applicants to show units and determine their needs.
- Conduct new resident orientation, this may involve the development of newsletters, welcoming committees, orientation packages, and support groups.
- Work with Property Management team to determine new resident’s needs and help when needed.
- Assess residents annually to review needs, assets and resources.
- Work with Senior Property Manager and Resident Councils to enhance volunteer programs.
- Provide safety training at least annually to residents and training related to coping with weather conditions.
- Call and visit residents to help with rent payments, payment plans and delinquency actions.
- Work with Property Management team to track payment agreements.
- Inventory community services and resources and assist residents in securing services related to residency.
- Assist with establishing smoking cessation programs.
- Coordinate community programs and activities.
- Attend relative training programs.
- Attend meetings and provide reports as necessary.
- Maintain records, data, and information.
- Develop and maintain understanding of DC Management 2 LLC, and Regulatory Agency policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
- Other job specific duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of related work experience and training may be substituted as appropriate.
- Knowledge of community support services for older adults.
- Ability to listen to and assist residents in defining their problems and identifying solutions and resources.
- Ability to establish trusting relationships with residents both individually and as a group.
- Ability to develop and facilitate community-oriented activities that build bridges between people, promote active interest in the property.
- Proficiency in use of computer systems, email and internet.
- Ability to attend meetings and training courses as required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
