Position:
DC Scholars After School Program is looking for part-time individuals to teach the after-school curriculum. We are seeking quality leaders that are dedicated and committed to the enrichment of our youth.
Responsibilities include:
- Lesson planning and implementation of curriculum
- Provide leadership to scholars PK3-5
- Use developmentally appropriate strategies for behavior management
- Managing groups while providing individual attention
- Maintaining a safe environment
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- High School diploma
- 1 year of teaching experience
- 1 year of experience working in a childcare/school setting
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and TB test
Part Time Hours:
- Monday- Thursday 3:00 PM - 5:45 PM
- Friday- 1:00 PM - 5:45 PM
