Position Overview:
The Aftermarket Parts & Services Sales Leader is responsible for driving revenue growth through aftermarket sales, including replacement parts, maintenance services, system upgrades, and long-term service agreements. This role focuses on maximizing customer lifecycle value, increasing recurring revenue, and ensuring high client satisfaction across the life sciences, food, and industrial markets.
As a key commercial leader, this individual will develop and execute aftermarket sales strategies, leverage customer relationships to drive repeat business, and collaborate with service teams to deliver value-added solutions. This position is critical in supporting the company’s growth strategy and ESOP culture, reinforcing a customer-centric and ownership-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Aftermarket Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive aftermarket sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for replacement parts, service contracts, refurbishments, and upgrades.
- Establish pricing models and service offerings to enhance revenue and customer retention.
2. Customer Relationship Management & Sales Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their equipment lifecycle needs.
- Develop and manage a customer outreach program for proactive engagement on maintenance, parts, and system upgrades.
- Expand the customer base by identifying new service opportunities and upselling solutions.
3. Service Contracts & Revenue Expansion
- Increase penetration of preventative maintenance contracts, warranty extensions, and service agreements.
- Work closely with engineering and service teams to develop custom upgrade solutions for aging systems.
- Analyze customer usage data to recommend value-driven aftermarket solutions.
4. Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with operations, engineering, and service teams to ensure seamless delivery of aftermarket solutions.
- Develop tools and CRM processes to track customer interactions, service histories, and sales performance.
- Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance equipment design for long-term serviceability.
5. Market & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor industry trends and competitor aftermarket offerings to refine the company’s strategy.
- Identify new revenue opportunities in emerging service models (e.g., remote monitoring, predictive maintenance).
- Track key KPIs such as aftermarket revenue, customer retention, and service contract penetration rates.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- 7 years of sales leadership experience in aftermarket parts & service within industrial equipment, stainless steel processing, or engineered systems.
- Demonstrated experience in channel development & management inclusive of ecommerce.
- Proven success in selling service contracts, spare parts, and system upgrades in life sciences, food, or industrial markets.
- Strong understanding of stainless steel vessels, process equipment, and related systems is a plus.
- Experience working in an ESOP or employee-owned environment is a plus.
- Ability to drive data-driven decision-making using CRM tools, customer insights, and market analytics.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with capital equipment lifecycle management and long-term service planning.
- Technical background in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or industrial automation.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments (e.g., FDA, USDA, cGMP) in life sciences and food industries.
Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
