Job Summary
Will be responsible for providing direct or indirect care, under the supervision of a physician based on their scope of training to patients who present with urgent, emergent or potential health problems, as well as preventive care. Services provided by the Clinical Office Assistant will include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education. The Clinical Office Assistant will provide care utilizing established principles and ethical standards as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess.
Education and Experience
- Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Experience preferred but not required.

Current certification/license from one of the below:
- Certified Medical Assistant- American Association of Medical Assistants

- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Health career Association

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Radiology Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the radiology department, ensuring patient care, safety, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient data (clinical updates, lab results, imaging reports) before visits.
- Obtain patient signatures for procedures.
- Greet and assist patients with screening and medication reconciliation.
- Safely prepare, administer, and document oral medications used in radiology.
- Conduct patient history screenings relevant to imaging procedures.
- Verify patient identity and correct medication before administration.
- Document medication refusals and assist with charting as directed.
- Provide basic patient care, prepare patients for exams, and assist with IV insertions.
- Clean exam rooms, maintain patient flow, and handle infectious/hazardous materials following protocols.
- Transport patients/specimens and restock supplies as needed.
- Answer multi-line phones and manage clerical tasks related to image sharing and findings.
- Adhere to compliance policies (ISDH, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, HFAP, etc.)
