Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, encouraging social interaction.
- Implement individualized care plans based on each resident's needs and preferences.
- Monitor resident behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Facilitate recreational activities and outings to promote engagement and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to provide comprehensive support.
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Required: American Sign Language (ASL)
- Deaf Culture: Knowledge of Deaf culture is essential
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- We do not sponsor work visas at this time.
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred
- Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation-related duties.
- A background in social work or related fields can enhance the candidate's qualifications.
Shifts
- Daily: Full-time
- Weekday Evenings: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM (Overnight shifts)
- Weekend 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
