Our team is looking for an experienced IT professional to fill the role of System Administrator on the UNITED STATES TRANSPORTATION COMMAND MILITARY SURFACE DEPLOYMENT AND DISTRIBUTION COMMAND Transportation Geospatial Information System (TGIS) Contract.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor performance for production application, database, and web servers.
- Operate, sustain, and harden Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers.
- Support TGIS applications hosted in multiple unclassified AWS environments.
- Support TGIS applications hosted on SIPRNet.
- Complete Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on TGIS operating systems.
- Perform system configuration beyond organizational baselines.
- Track and report database, application, and web server performance issues.
- Complete security and accreditation requirements in all TGIS environments.
- Propose software, interface, and technical changes to the Configuration Manager.
- Calculate the effects of implementing changes in the TGIS environments.
- Respond to service outages and other problems.
- Complete operation and maintenance tasks such as installing system upgrades, managing system resources, and optimizing system performance.
- Perform system startup, shutdown, and diagnostics.
- Configure, test, and maintain operating systems and system management tools.
