Production Manager

The Production Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of all concrete coating projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires strong leadership to manage installation crews, optimize workflow, track inventory, and uphold the highest standards in concrete coatings applications. The Production Manager works closely with the Operations, Sales, Maintenance, Customer Service, and HR teams to deliver outstanding results and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

• Assign installation crews and Foremen to projects based on schedule demands and skill sets.
• Review project contracts, scope of work, and site conditions to ensure proper planning.
• Inspect Company Cam photos and project documents to identify missing information or potential challenges before installation.
• Conduct site visits to assess work quality and adherence to company standards.
• Assist the Production Admin in rescheduling projects due to weather delays or customer requests.
• Provide technical support to installation teams and the sales team regarding coatings application, site prep, and troubleshooting.

Crew Leadership & Development

• Lead weekly Installer meetings to discuss Quality, job updates, and training.
• Assist with implementation and adherence to installer training program to enhance skill levels and efficiency in coatings application.
• Track and assess crew performance, attendance, and professionalism.
• Provide feedback and corrective action plans to improve work quality and team accountability.
• Recognize and reward crews through the company’s incentive program for high performance.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Monitor warehouse inventory to ensure sufficient stock of coatings, sealers, and necessary tools.
• Forecast and order materials, equipment, and supplies based on upcoming job requirements.
• Work with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance (PMs) and necessary repairs for generators, grinders, vacuums, vehicles, and trailers.
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks, trailers, and tools to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and proper handling.

Quality Assurance & Customer Relations

• Ensure all coatings projects meet company standards for durability, aesthetics, and longevity.
• Address customer concerns and manage on-site touch-ups or warranty work when necessary.
• Stay updated on coating product updates, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
• Work with the sales team to review project details and set proper expectations with customers.

Operational Efficiency & Cost Control

• Track fuel usage, product waste, and equipment costs to optimize expenses.
• Identify areas to reduce overtime and increase workflow efficiency without compromising quality.
• Research and negotiate with suppliers for cost-saving opportunities on coatings, tools, and materials.
• Implement tracking systems for product usage and work efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3-5 years in concrete coatings, construction, or a related field.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and crew management abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete coatings, epoxy, polyaspartic, and related applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in project scheduling, inventory management, and cost tracking software.
