Reports To:
Firm Management, Assigned Attorneys and Operations Director
Status:
Non-Exempt
Essential Functions: Provides a variety of support functions to attorneys, paralegals, law clerks and administrative personnel with the Firm. Maintains a continuing knowledge of the assigned attorney’s practice areas and associated procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Proofread, revise, finalize a variety of documents including but not limited to appearances, motions, discovery requests and other pleadings.
· Draft or proofread, revise, finalize and send attorney correspondence.
· Maintain basic templates for efficient document production.
· Prepare monthly client invoices for assigned attorneys.
· Screen and direct calls from and place calls to clients, courts, government entities, businesses, etc.
· Schedule client meetings and maintain attorney calendars.
· Open, organize and maintain client files – both paper and electronic.
· Assist other staff and attorneys as workload permits.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma and one-year work experience.
· Proficiency in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software.
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
· Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree and five (5) or more years of experience in a law firm or other legal environment.
· Familiarity with document production software in a legal setting.
· Experience working with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and E-filing in MyCase and PACER.
