9-1-1 DISPATCHERS
Are you ready for a challenging, exciting, and rewarding position, which relates to
all areas of Public Safety response? You can be the first, first responder to every
scene!
You must be able to multi-task in a high stress, high volume environment.
You will (at a minimum):
· Answer calls for police, fire and EMS assistance.
· Determine location, prioritize and dispatch the appropriate response.
· Provide medical and life saving instruction over the phone in severe and life-threatening incidents.
· Operate telephonic, radio, and computer systems, while entering information and maintaining records.
· Access information from the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) system to assist officers in the performance of their duties.
You must be at least 18 years of age, able to type 35 wpm and possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to pass typing, written and oral interviews, hearing, vision tests, polygraph examination, psychological, drug screen and a thorough background investigation. You will also be offered the opportunity to sit alongside a dispatcher prior to selection process.
Pitman shift schedule – 12-hour shifts - 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am, every other weekend off!
We offer an excellent benefit package including pension. Starting wage is $23/hour.
