Title: Interactive Media Instructor, Eastland Career Center, Groveport
Position Type: High School Teaching
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful applicants must have at least five recent years of experience in the interactive media field, and be able to secure license as a career/technical instructor; if applicant has a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in that career field will be required through education and work-related experiences; applicant must demonstrate attainment of specific skills and knowledge in the content standards and sample course outlines; Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) required; drone pilot’s license preferred; prior positive experience working with young adults is beneficial. Applicants should also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with business/industry and post-secondary institutions required and successfully pass BCI/FBI background check.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Prepare lesson plans and provide instruction in junior and senior labs/classrooms that prepare students for a career in the interactive media field. Job responsibilities include providing opportunities for prospective students to explore this career path. Teacher must also coordinate all aspects of the program with an advisory committee. Lab instruction also includes promotion of student involvement in Career Technical Student Organizations. Teacher must also assist students in work-based learning experiences and future employment opportunities in cooperation with local interactive media companies.
Salary:
Placement on the Certificated/Licensed Teacher salary schedule.
