What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Worker - Help Desk position at Delaware Valley University?
Job Summary
Students will assist with Help Desk operations, by assisting staff to deploy and maintain university computer equipment.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Setting up equipment in various on-campus locations.
Installing software and basic computer troubleshooting.
Assisting students and faculty with computer operation.
Cleaning equipment and changing printer toner cartridges.
Transporting equipment throughout campus.
Recording and maintaining inventory records.
Answering calls at the Help Desk.
Entering tickets in the Help Desk system.
Assisting the Telecommunications team with wiring or other projects.
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Students must be able to carry monitors, computers, printers, and other equipment for on-campus transport. Up to 50 lbs.
Computer experience recommended, will train for all job functions.
Work Environment
Office position with some equipment transportation required. Hours are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 : 30am-7 : 00pm (During Fall / Spring Semester) and 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm (During Summer).
