Are you a Mechanical Engineer with 5–10 years of experience looking to grow your career? We are seeking a talented professional to join our team in Irvine or Long Beach, CA , with a focus on healthcare facilities.

Position Details

  • Employment Type : Full-time
  • Work Schedule : Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote)
  • Salary Range : $120,000–$150,000
  • Level : Mid

Role Overview

As a competent registered professional engineer, you will apply expertise in HVAC and medical gas systems while supervising a team of engineers and designers. The role primarily focuses on healthcare facilities, including acute care hospitals, medical office buildings, and support structures such as central plants and data centers. You will oversee all project phases, from proposal development to construction completion, ensuring successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee HVAC and medical gas systems for healthcare facilities in compliance with industry standards.
  • Apply knowledge of HCAI codes, FGI Guidelines, and NFPA-99 to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Present complex engineering concepts to clients, partners, and team members.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Support project management activities and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

    • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Experience with HCAI codes, FGI Guidelines, and NFPA-99.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral presentations and written documentation.
  • Proficiency in core computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    • Working Knowledge

  • 5–10 years of engineering design and project management experience, with a focus on healthcare settings.
  • Strong capabilities in HVAC design for acute care and other healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about problem-solving.
