Finance Consultant, Integration Management Office (M&A)
While we are always ready for different challenges at Dell Technologies, execution of Dell’s M&A strategy takes a talented group of professionals. The Integration Management Office (IMO) plans, leads, and executes on a variety of acquisition and divestiture transactions. As part of this team, you will engage directly with Dell finance leadership and buyer/seller finance professionals to design a successful transaction for all finance functions, and then lead a cross-functional team of finance experts to deliver outstanding results.

What you’ll achieve
As a Finance Consultant in the Integration Management Office, you will be a key leader and enabler of our ongoing inorganic growth and strategy efforts across the family of Dell Technologies businesses. You will work closely with the Corporate Development team and acquiring Dell business units to understand acquired technology, develop plans to seamlessly integrate the finance functions an acquired business into the Dell infrastructure, and lead the finance integration activity against an established timeline.
Similarly, you will work closely with the Corporate Development team and potential buyers as Dell makes strategic decisions to divest non-core asset currently in the portfolio. You will develop plans to deliver economic benefit of the divested business to a buyer, then execute the carve-out while minimizing risk and duration of Transition Services.
This is an opportunity to be part of a small, high performing group of dedicated corporate development and integration management professionals and have high exposure to key business leaders.
Current projects include the spin-off of VMWare into an independent, publicly traded company, divestment of Boomi to a private equity consortium led by Francisco Partners, and TSA exit of the RSA divestment to a private equity buyer led by Symphony Technology Group. Recent integrations include the acquisitions of ManyWho, Delve Laboratories, and Data Frameworks. Recent divestments include the sale of Dell Services, Dell Software, ECD, and Spanning.
You will:
- Collaborate with Corporate Development and cross-functional finance leaders to perform financial due-diligence for a potential acquisition and develop strategies to solve finance issues identified in the diligence process
- Project manage all aspects of the finance integration / divestiture process from due diligence, post-announce, through day 1 activities, to functional integration complete (FIC)
- Design and execute an integration strategy to support continued business operation / Design and execute a carve-out strategy to deliver economic benefit of a divested business to a buyer
- Establish a framework with finance sub-work streams, such as Tax, Accounting, FSS, etc. to align on terminology, approach and to identify dependencies between teams and cross functionally across all aspects of the integration.
- Provide consultative support to the Integration Executive, Deal Controller and all finance sub-work stream leaders.
- Drive and own Finance Integration Playbook and all efforts to incorporate lessons learned / best practice sharing to ensure success for future integrations.
- Lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) efforts across Dell M&A
- Provide senior executive status updates as needed

Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience or Graduate degree and 2-4 years relevant experience, prior finance integration experience leading transactions for similar size serial acquirer is a plus
- Broad functional Dell Finance experience, with the ability to partner across all areas of Dell finance
- Drive accountability for achieving objectives, resolving critical issues and ensure timely decisions are properly managed
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen and cross functional partnering skills
- Executive Presence
- Ability to work cross-functionally and in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with technology industry preferred
