BPK MGMNT is looking for an experienced manager to lead our restaurant team in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the food industry.

The Restaurant Manager will report to the owner of the establishment and will work hand in hand with the rest of the "FOH" and BOH" managerial team to ensure a smooth and elevated guest experience. This will be a PM primary shift in a fine dining setting, with a schedule averaging 50 hours per week, with regularly scheduled overtime.

The hired candidate will have two days off per week, back to back, and will be capped at 50 hours.

The ideal candidate has 2 years' of managerial experience, ideally in a fine dining setting. Candidates with a 2 or 4 year degree in hospitality are preferred, but additional work experience will be gladly accepted instead.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing waitstaff, including hosts, servers, server assistants and bartenders and ensuring the front of house staff is performing job duties faithfully and in accordance with company standards.
  • Touching base with customers to ensure guest satisfaction. Address any issues. Recommending and implementing policy to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Aiding in front and back of house communication. Occasionally expediting orders from the kitchen to ensure that the workflow is being managed effectively and food quality is maintained.
  • Maintaining a cash register for the restaurant and collecting server reports and payouts. Ensuring support staff are getting their deserved tips at the end of service.
  • Utilizing the manager's daily communication log, leaving detailed notes on each shift including performance of team members, any equipment issues, any major incidents, and any outlining situations that may have come up.
  • Assisting with scheduling FOH staff over two week intervals. Monitoring the time-off request log and making sure staff schedule requests are being addressed. Planning ahead for historically busy periods and adjusting the staffing levels accordingly.
  • Ensuring that staff are trained on alcohol service and that customers are being carded in accordance with company policy and the law.
  • Participating in team meetings and using your voice and your perspective to maintain standards, plan for growth, and in all ways possible, better the restaurant.
  • Executing and embodying best professional conduct. Setting a high example for the team at all times.

Experience:

- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably with a background in a fine dining setting. - Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.- Experience with budgeting and financial management.- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive dining experience.- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and food quality regulations.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.- Experience with training development and staff management.

All candidates will possess some or all of the following skills:

-Knowledge and experience working with a restaurant point of sales system.

-Experience working with Google Drive, Gmail, and Microsoft Office products.

-Experience working with OpenTable platform.

-A working and functional knowledge of wine and beer products and sales.

-A general glossary of restaurant kitchen and food terminology.

-Fantastic customer service and employee relationship skills.

-Mathematical and basic financial literacy.
