Your role
As a Consultant, you will work on engagements in a team-based environment, partnering directly with clients, fellow Operations & Technology Transformation practitioners, and Deloitte consultants from complementary disciplines. As a Consultant, you will help lead workstreams within the context of a larger engagement, gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing actionable recommendations. Other responsibilities include defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementations.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,225 to $155,375.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of professional experience in revenue cycle operations in a health care provider, consulting, or technology vendor environment
- 2 years of experience in translating requirements into optimized designs, and identifying design alternatives and implications on functionality, effort, performance and operations
- 3 years hands on experience with PowerPoint
- Travel up to 50%
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

In addition, successful Consultants will also have the following preferred skills
- Experience in one or more the following revenue cycle functions: Patient Access, Coding, Revenue Integrity, HIM, Charge Integrity, Patient Financial Services
- Proficiency and experience with financial, billing and reimbursement data
- Possesses a working knowledge of the UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, claim form and claim scrubber
- Experience with hospital and physician financial and patient accounting systems, such as EPIC, Cerner, Soarian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, IDX, and Eclipsys
- Experience with tools that enable gathering insights through advanced analytics (Python, Tableau, etc.) and querying language (SQL)
- Basic understanding of automation and machine learning techniques as it applies to healthcare
- Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA) from a top tier program
