Job Title: Coordinator – Collections Analyst
Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Analyst to support our Customer Service Group’s accounts receivable efforts. This role focuses on driving timely collections and providing accurate financial analysis to help achieve A/R performance goals. Working under the guidance of the Customer Service Collections Manager and Supervisor, you’ll play a key part in managing collection activities, supporting invoicing processes, and contributing to overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage collection efforts for assigned Customer Service departments, focusing on past-due accounts.
- Follow up promptly on outstanding invoices and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Handle sensitive collection matters professionally and escalate when needed.
- Support portal invoicing and create advanced shipping notices as needed.
- Assist with data analysis and reporting for collection activities.
- Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain positive and empathetic communication with customers.
- Demonstrate a professional and courteous phone presence.
- Follow structured call processes and adhere to callback commitments.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of A/R and collection principles.
- Effective communicator—both verbal and written—with strong negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused with a high level of professionalism and problem-solving ability.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with business systems such as Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and strong team collaboration skills.
- Prior experience with customer portals and invoicing systems a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in Business or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of hands-on A/R collections experience; manufacturing or automotive industry experience is a plus.
