The Patient Service and Financial Coordinator at Dentistry For Children serves an extremely important role in setting the tone for every parent and patient interaction with our practice – this can be a phone call, greeting the patient and family as they arrive at our office, or helping the patient conclude their visit and set up their next visit. Job Description: The Patient Service and Financial Coordinator is responsible for managing family and patient relationships within our practice, coordinating care with other providers, as well as managing and assisting with administrative and other support tasks. As the Financial Coordinator you help parents understand their dental insurance benefits, coordinate and process claims and payments with dental insurance companies and parents, and perform internal collection services.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer and direct all calls in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
- Greet all incoming patients and families with a warm, sincere welcome and manage the check-in process for appointments.
- Schedule hygiene and treatment appointments.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol.
- Manage daily appointment schedule.
- Perform data entry of new patient information and update existing patients as needed.
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
- Inform patients of dental office procedures and policy.
- Assist movement of patients through appointments as scheduled.
- Collect and receipt payments from patients at time of treatment.
- Inform patients of financial treatment plan options.
- Maintain up-to-date insurance records.
- Prepare and mail billing statements.
- Prepare claim forms for dental insurance.
- Arrange supporting documents for insurance claims.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Respond and comply to requests for information.
- Organize referrals to other medical specialists.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages and other correspondence.
- Maintain, clean and organize the reception areas.
- Assist with chart audit, chart scanning and patient recall system.
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Position Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Certification in adult and infant AED and CPR (will provide training if needed).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize work flow according to immediate demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) prefered.
- Experience with dental office software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental, Daisy) required.
- Professional, conservative dress and appearance in accordance with a dental office environment.

Starting Salary:
Hourly rate dependent upon skill set and level of experience, 32-38 hours per week (7:30am-5pm).
Job Type: Full-time
