Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries effectively.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry into the electronic health record system, preferably Epic.
- Assist with insurance verification and coding processes, including familiarity with ICD-9 codes.
- Support office management tasks such as maintaining supplies, filing documents, and coordinating with other staff members.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless clinic operations.
- Provide assistance in a dental clinic or hospital setting as needed.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic software is a plus; knowledge of medical coding (ICD-9) is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with insurance verification processes is desirable.
