What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Performance Dietitian position at Denver Broncos, Stadium Management Company?
We are excited to hire an Assistant Performance Dietitian. The Assistant Performance Dietitian will assist the Director of Performance Nutrition with nutrition related tasks and efforts for education and information to players, coaches and staff at the Denver Broncos Training Facility.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with nutrition efforts of players, coaches, and staff by:
Assists with providing information for the Director of Nutrition including diet information and questions that may come up on a day to day basis
Provide consultation and medical nutrition therapy to players and coaching surrounding weight goals, food allergies/intolerances, micronutrient testing, supplementation, body composition, and other topics that may come up.
Collaborate with strength and conditioning, sports science, and athletic training to develop comprehensive performance and medical nutrition plans for athletes.
Utilize Notemeal for nutrition programming and education for athletes and coaching staff
Assist Director of Performance Nutrition in educational programming and nutrition coaching
Assist with inventory by:
Oversees the inventory of the snacks and functional beverages in the dining room; create par counts, order products, and maintain good standing relationships with vendors
Working closely with the kitchen and the seasonal nutrition intern to advise and direct procurement of fueling and hydration products
Assist with other Nutrition needs by:
Assists with making recovery shakes and smoothies before and after practices along with assisting nutrition and athletic training staff at practices and games with hydration and fueling tactics.
Coordinates with Kitchen and Chefs by:
Providing tailored meal guidance to personal chefs
Coordinate special meal requests for players and coaches
Assist with Nutrition logistics of away game by:
Traveling to away games as part of advance travel to prepare appropriately for needsCoordinates with away game stadium catering, road game hotels and airlines regarding food preparations, logistics and operationsRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in sports or clinical nutrition, health science, dietetics or related field.
2 years’ experience in nutrition, nutrition policy, business or related field
Registered Dietitian Credential (RD)
Experience working in intercollegiate or professional athletics/sports-related field

Knowledge of NFL compliance a plus
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and have a flexible schedule and travel as needed

Excellent organizational skills and handle multiple projects
Detail oriented
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. This position will be located at the Training Center in Englewood, CO and must be available for a flexible schedule and to work all Broncos games and nights/weekends as needed.
