Denver Recovery Group is hiring for an individual who will fill a dual role as MA and Administrative Assistant
Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant follows established treatment program policies and procedures to provide continuity of care and adheres to current medical procedures, standards, and practices. The Medical Assistant must hold a valid certification in Colorado.
Job functions may include:
Utilizing medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs.
perform laboratory procedures per current best practices.
perform duties within the scope of their licensure or certification, under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor as authorized by the Medical Director.
Professional Development
Responsible for the achievement of assigned specific annual goals and objectives
Participate in all trainings as required by federal, state, local, and accrediting agencies.
As requested, prepare and lead trainings regarding laboratory procedures (e.g., chain of custody, safety, specimen gathering & processing, information gathering, etc.)
Ensure the timely collection and proper shipment procedures of patient laboratory specimens consistent with federal and state regulations
Prepare monthly patient lists for medical testing, including follow-up testing as required by state guidelines
Timely review, posting, and dissemination of all laboratory results
Track all documents from laboratory for accuracy and compliance
Assist Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner in scheduling exams and annual physicals
Complete patient vital signs and health assessments o Complete patient TB testing and blood draws
Complete TB testing for team members and applicants and ensure annual team member re-testing remains compliant
Maintain appropriate inventory for all laboratory procedures
Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment
Provide input into overall treatment program philosophy, treatment services and patient care.
Provide consultation to team members regarding lab testing, results, and other relevant patient issues
Ensure the maintenance of quality patient care
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with patients
Report any work-related injury or illness, or workplace hazards or security issues immediately to supervisor

Answering phones, forwarding calls to appropriate staff, and taking messages as needed.
Responding to phone and in-person inquiries about intake and transfer procedures.
Distributing office correspondence/faxes to the appropriate staff.
Ensuring effective communication among various departments in the clinic.
Checking in patients through the Methasoft system and entering all new patient information into Methasoft.
Advise dosing nurse if a patient appears impaired at check-in before dosing.
Collecting patient fees, entering them accurately in Methasoft, and ensuring immediate safe deposit of payments.
Administering breathalyzers on patients, recording results, and keeping the nurse informed of positive results.
Scheduling patients for intakes and the first follow-up visit with the Medical Director or clinic MD.
Entering/discharging patients through Central Registry and ensuring intakes are registered with Central Registry before dosing.
Facilitating the intake process by ensuring patient’s UA and breathalyzer are completed; patient photo is taken and uploaded into Methasoft; appropriate fees are collected, if applicable; all consents have been signed prior to the medical intake appointment.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Responsible for complying with all federal, state and local regulatory agency requirements
Responsible for complying with all accrediting agencies
Responsible for ensuring CLIA Waiver requirements are maintained and communicated to team member responsible for maintaining treatment center licensure have appropriate work experience in the behavioral health field. I

Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm rate $19-$21/hr
$500 bonus at 6 & 12 months
