POSITION SUMMARY
The Talent Manager is responsible for managing Denver Rescue Mission’s talent acquisition and management strategies. This role entails identifying, recruiting, and retaining top talent, and developing programs that support employee growth, performance management, and succession planning. The Talent Manager will work closely with business line leaders and People and Culture colleagues to ensure that the workforce aligns with the Denver Rescue Mission strategic goals and culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high-caliber candidates.
· Manage and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including job descriptions, job postings, sourcing, interviewing, job offers, salary recommendations, facilitate the negotiation process and onboarding.
· Collaborate with hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs and create job descriptions.
· Utilize various recruitment channels such as job boards, social media, campus recruiting, and professional networks.
· Maintain and enhance the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure effective candidate management and compliance.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
· Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace.
· Conduct employee surveys, stay interview, exit interviews, and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
· Implement strategies to improve employee retention, such as recognition programs, career development opportunities, and work-life balance initiatives.
· Assist P&C team as needed with scheduling and conducting onboarding events and activities.
· Participate in special project work in the P&C function, including driving process improvement, facilitating communication, and balancing the needs of employees with the needs of the Mission.
· Provide hands-on support to employees and managers to better understand and utilize HR tools, processes, and policies, maximizing organizational effectiveness and ensuring compliance.
Internal Transfers:
· Develop and manage internal transfer programs to facilitate employee growth and career progression within the organization.
· Work with hiring managers to identify internal candidates for open positions, ensuring a smooth transition process.
· Create and communicate internal transfer policies and procedures, ensuring transparency and fairness.
· Conduct interviews and assessments for potential internal candidates and provide recommendations to hiring managers.
· Monitor and report on the success and impact of internal transfers on employee satisfaction and retention.
HR Metrics & Reporting:
· Track and report key HR metrics, such as recruitment effectiveness, employee turnover, and engagement levels.
· Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
· Prepare and present reports to senior management on talent management initiatives and outcomes.
Compliance & Best Practices:
· Ensure all talent management activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
· Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in talent acquisition and management.
· Develop and maintain talent management policies and procedures.
· Performs related job duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, and 4 years of increasingly responsible related job experience. A combination of education and experience can be substituted to meet the education and experience requirements.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to create and implement innovative sourcing strategies for recruitment for various roles, preferably in non-profit or social services organizations.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. Paylocity experienced preferred, but not required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products and other technologies used such as project tracking system or related.
- Must hold a current, valid Driver’s License and be willing to authorize a driver’s record background check and ability to travel for work-related events.

Salary : $64,800 - $95,000
