The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Fleet Services is looking for a Field Services Coordinator to manage the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles across Oregon. You'll be the key contact between our fleet, customers, vendors, and manufacturers—ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and cost-effective.

What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles across the state based on working knowledge of automotive systems and symptoms. Work with vendors and customers to get the best service at the best price.
- Approve vehicle repairs and verify parts and labor costs.
- Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, warranties, and recalls.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and accident claims.
- Travel occasionally to inspect vehicles and ensure customer satisfaction.

This position offers a hybrid remote work option. For the first six (6) months, the employee must work on-site at the central workplace in SE Salem, Oregon. After this period, a minimum of two (2) on-site workdays per week will be required.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;
OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Attributes:
- Preferences will be given to those candidates who have automotive technician experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of common vehicle issues, performing maintenance, and overseeing repair processes, including assessing repair estimates and verifying labor costs using industry standards.
- Experience gathering and analyzing information to make fair, objective decisions.
- Skilled in communicating effectively across multiple platforms, including phone, email, in person, and virtual meetings.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and various basic computer software programs to support daily operations.
- Experience providing responsive customer service in a professional environment.
- Experience handling competing priorities, multi-tasking, and using sound judgment to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
- Strong background in performing detail-oriented tasks with a focus on accuracy, organization, and compliance with record-keeping standards.
