Working Conditions
This position will be exclusively in-office during the probationary period with fieldwork and the potential for aternate workweek schedule/telework (hybrid) after probation.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Employees are required to operate and maintain a state vehicle and possess a valid driver's license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Employees are required to drive long distances in all types of weather and driving conditions. Field work includes walking and surveying the surrounding community which includes nearby residences, businesses, schools, hospitals, non-profit youth facilities, and parks. Field work may be required after normal business hours to conduct investigations.
If the employee is working at an alternate work location during telework, they are required to maintain a safe working condition at the approved site, abide by the Departments Telework Policy and Ergonomic Policy, and agree to maintain a distraction-free remote work environment. Further, employees are required to be available through various forms of communication during work hours.
