WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR SUPERVISOR with Security Clearance

Job Description

Duties:

• You will supervise and provide direction, training and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions.
• You will provide safe and sufficient drinking water to facilities located throughout Camp Pendleton.
• You will provide problem-solving skills relating to water supply, treatment, and storage.
• You will implement and manage federal, state, local, and departmental water programs.

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• You must possess and maintain a valid state vehicle operator's license.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• This position may require strenuous physical exertion such as climbing ladders, lifting over 50 pounds, crouching and crawling in confined spaces.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You must possess a Water Treatment Operator Certification Grade II or Water Distribution Operator Certification Grade II from the State of California Department of Health.
