What are the responsibilities and job description for the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST I position at Department of Parks & Recreation?
The reporting location for this position is (1516 9th Street) in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the direction of the Information Supervisor II.
The IT Specialist I is responsible for IT procurement execution of complex and major IT equipment, systems, services, and supplies within the Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) delegation authority. The incumbent provides expert consultative support in complex business technology management and projects including purchasing and procurement of IT services, billing oversight, budget analysis, IT purchasing policy and program development, business analysis, research and development, strategic planning, and product and delivery strategies. Duties include, but are not limited to, all aspects relating to contracting, procurement, billing, vendor management, and software licensing management of IT and non-IT goods and services. The incumbent shall also act in a lead capacity for the IT procurement team. The incumbent may be asked to work closely with the IT Supervisor II on developing desk manuals, SharePoint applications, and documenting processes for IT purchases.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible-remote centered.
