Senior Scientific Technical Manager
Technical Lead for Research, Development, Test, and Engineering (RDTE) at Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall quality, execution, and technical direction of RDTE efforts.
- Provide senior technical consultation and expert advice to leaders within the Department of Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DOD).
- Initiate new Division level concepts in support of the Navy's future warfare capabilities.
- Coordinate the integration of advanced concepts to meet evolving mission needs.
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Must complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment.
- Must submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to provide authoritative technical direction in undersea warfare systems development.
- Ability to develop a robust vision for an organization and implement that vision.
- Ability to manage technology design, development, and assessment.
- Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process.
- Knowledge of undersea warfare technologies and systems for USW platforms.
Salary: $155,000/year
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position requiring proficiency in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
Travel may be required from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS sites.
Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required.
Salary : $155,000
