What are the responsibilities and job description for the Para-Legal Trainee position at Department of the Prosecuting Attorney - City & County of Honolulu?
Under close supervision, the Para-Legal Trainee will receive orientation in, and learn the principles, concepts, methods and techniques to assist Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys in various divisions, with legal research and other para-legal matters not requiring the services of an attorney.
Duties to be performed by the Para-Legal Trainee may include any combination of the following:
· Performing legal research
· Writing legal memoranda
· Drafting pleadings and discovery motions
· Reviewing documents and case flies
· Preparing for and observing court hearings
· Interviewing persons
· Performing legal clerical and administrative tasks
· Inquire and review data from law enforcement and office automated information flies
· Accompanying deputies to court
· Other related duties
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be working towards the completion of an associate's degree or certificate in a Paralegal or Legal Assistant program.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $3,006.00 per month
