The Virginia Department of the Treasury is currently recruiting for a Risk Documents Administrator in the Division of Risk Management. The Division of Risk Management provides broad risk management and insurance services for the Commonwealth. The employee will be responsible for reviewing property loss submission packages provided by Commonwealth agencies for reimbursement. Tasks will include organizing documents to submit for review; ensuring all listed payments have proper back-up documentation; providing claim handlers with summaries and lists of missing documents in easy to decipher formats with tabs and links; and utilizing spreadsheets to input and track data. In addition, the employee will be responsible for creating and sending correspondence, creating invoices, sending premium invoices, updating user information, updating member data, and reviewing legal bills for payment.
The employee will work closely with claim handlers and other staff to ensure the best possible work product is created and information is compiled and distributed in an efficient and timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working with large amounts of data and paperwork, then compiling into workable formats.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Considerable skill and proficiency in the use of computers and related software programs to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint).
- Experience creating invoices and using accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills, including the capability to create and review structured packages with clear layouts, tabs, and links for claim handlers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers via email and telephone including communication of process and procedures.
