As a Water Services Supervisor, the incumbent will plan, direct, and control the water operations unit at San Luis Field Division. Incumbent will ensure policy and procedures are followed in the orderly operation of storage, transportation, and distribution of water to the various water contractors. Schedules and implements flood measures at Los Banos Reservoir, Little Panoche Reservoir, and the Arroyo Pasajero. Supervises and trains personnel at both offices to ensure proper testing procedures are utilized for turnout revenue meters and accurate records are maintained of water deliveries.

Limited Term up to 12 months. This position may be extended up to an additional 12 months (24 months maximum) or may become permanent.

Special Requirements

Must possess a valid California Class C license as incumbent will be required to operate automotive vehicles on public roadways.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

The ideal candidate shall demonstrate a solid understanding of the State Water project’s mission and its financial structure; strong oral and written communication skills; initiative and good judgment; ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities; team leader with substantial experience with SAP database or other enterprise business systems. The incumbent must have a clear understanding of lock out, tag out procedures and be able to pass the OP2 test in order to become a certified switchperson.
