JOB IDENTIFICATION
Job Title: Mt. View Adventure Center Manager
Grade: IV
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Revenue Facilities
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Revenue Facilities Manager
Supervises: Concession Attendants and Batting Cage Attendants
BASIC FUNCTION
Manager operates as frontline staff including cashier and cash control, admitting customers into the facility, and customer and part-time employee supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Implement measures that insure the smooth day to day Cash, Concession and batting cage operations.
- Supervise concession and batting cage attendants to ensure duties are performed in an outstanding manor as required by their job descriptions.
- Enforce all facility rules and District policies and procedures
- Ensures cash control policies and procedures are followed
- Balance cash drawer at end of each shift, complete all required paperwork and prepare the deposit
- Prepare concession food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Responsible for operating and cleaning food preparation equipment.
- Answer phone calls and provide accurate information
- Ensure the overall cleanliness of the food preparation and concession area.
- Control inventory of food, drink and other supplies
- Take control of and act decisively in emergency situations, responding calmly and quickly under pressure. Administer first aid when needed. Complete necessary reports.
- Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service.
- Promote positive teamwork environment for all staff.
- Communicate staff and facility issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evening and weekend hours.
OTHER DUTIES
- Help organize and attend all pre-season training.
- Inform all staff of any changes in policy, procedure, or rules as handed down by the Facilities Supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual.
- Assist with special events as necessary
- Direct patrons in the event of an emergency, such as fire, severe weather
- Additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Classwork
Experience: Cash handling experience required.
General knowledge of Point of Sales systems.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certification, classes available through Park District upon hire
Food Handler Training Certificate required following employment.
