What are the responsibilities and job description for the Care Coordinator position at Desert Ark Veterinary Care?

ArkVets is looking for a highly skilled Care Coordinator to join our scheduling excellence team. Our new scheduling excellence team is responsible for the success of our patient scheduling, ensuring sick pets get the support they need as conveniently and as health conscious as possible. With zero client facing expectations, you will be ensuring all inbound calls are answered efficiently, and the patient gets the help they need across all three of our premium GP clinics, offering Urgent Care support when the pet needs it.

What You'll Do :

Apply your years of experience in phone etiquette & emotional intelligence to support the pet parent in gaining a scheduled visit
Be the skilled, empathetic voice of ArkVets from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each scheduled day
Confidently and efficiently triage patient needs over the phone, ensuring each pet gets the right care at the right time from wellness visits to urgent care needs
Guide pet parents with timely and accurate decision making to schedule optimal appointments across our three hospitals

Requirements

What We're Looking For :

7 years of experience working within the veterinary space demonstrating a clear understanding of the patient needs, skilled at recognizing and prioritizing varying levels of pet health concerns

Exceptional phone skills - you're efficient, engaging, and able to handle calls with empathy and accuracy with emotional intelligence

Proven experience in triaging patient needs and recommending appropriate scheduling solutions.

Comfortable working with a team to keep three hospitals running smoothly while managing time-sensitive calls.

Available for 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. shifts three days per week
