Position Overview:
As an Inside Sales Associate at Desert Hills Electric Supply, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales operations and building lasting relationships with our customers. Your focus will be on selling industrial electrical supplies to clients in Odessa and the surrounding areas. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, offer expert product recommendations, and ensure orders are processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers by providing expert knowledge of industrial electrical products and solutions
- Process orders, quotes, and returns, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, offering top-tier customer service
- Collaborate with outside sales teams and vendors to meet customer needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, as well as identify potential new clients
- Stay updated on product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities
- Manage inventory levels and assist with product ordering when necessary
- Meet sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the team
- Troubleshoot customer issues, offering effective solutions in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in inside sales, preferably in the industrial electrical supply industry
- Solid understanding of electrical products, systems, and components
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a focus on achieving sales targets
- Detail-oriented with a customer-focused mindset
- Familiarity with sales software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus
