Job description
Design Works Landscaping in Hudson, NH, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join our crew. We have a total of 3 project managers and are looking for additional experienced hands to help lead our crew of 25 .
We are specifically looking for someone with experience in irrigation diagnostics and wiring.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistant Project Manager Duties:
- Support the Project Manager in planning and coordinating landscaping projects.
- Communicate project timelines, milestones, and updates with team members and clients.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available for scheduled tasks.
- Monitor project progress and report any challenges to the Project Manager.
- Lead a team of crew members in the execution of landscaping and irrigation projects.
- Supervise on-site work to ensure quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide hands-on assistance with tasks such as irrigation, planting, grading, and hardscaping.
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify that work is on schedule and completed to specifications.
- Teach and train field technicians
- Other duties as assigned
Irrigation Tech Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring optimal performance and water efficiency.
- Conduct system diagnostics and troubleshoot issues, providing cost-effective solutions.
- Design and implement irrigation layouts tailored to project needs.
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers, ensuring proper scheduling for plant health.
- Educate clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Monitor automated irrigation systems.
- Manage/complete Irrigation openings and closing for our maintenance team
- Teach and train field technicians
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in irrigation system installation and maintenance; landscaping project management experience preferred.
Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification in irrigation systems or landscaping is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, including pumps, valves, and controllers.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and project plans.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment.
- Good safety and driving record
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good personal and professional references from previous work experience. References required.
