About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Production IT Factory Support Analyst to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a Production IT Factory Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our production team and ensuring the smooth operation of our JDE system. You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve technical issues, and provide positive customer service to our internal stakeholders. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our production processes run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to our production team, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Ensure the smooth operation of our JDE system, and work with our team to identify and resolve any system issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our production processes run efficiently and effectively
- Provide positive customer service to our internal stakeholders, and maintain a positive outlook in all interactions
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and resolutions
- Act as the first point of contact for daily support of manufacturing network hardware devices, including printers, barcode scanners, and desktop computers
- Perform routine checks of IT equipment on the manufacturing floor before the start of each shift
- Coordinate and monitor the rollout of IT updates to manufacturing computers, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, PC operating system, production software, and network-related issues. Accurately differentiate between hardware and software problems
- Document resolved issues and outstanding tasks for the next shift’s IT support analyst
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for IT-related manufacturing and distribution processes
- Support root-cause analysis for technical issues impacting manufacturing operations
- Manage and prioritize daily tasks alongside project-based workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Adapt to evolving business needs and demonstrate flexibility in handling new challenges
- and additional tasks based on the business needs at that time
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing IT support or a similar role
- Experience with JDE system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products
- Positive customer service attitude and team player mentality
- Strong understanding of network topology, including LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with factory personnel and escalate issues appropriately.
- Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks independently.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and implementing barcode scanning technologies (1D and 2D) and label printing technology (e.g., Zebra, Intermec, thermal printers).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access Database management (critical skill).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in relevant IT fields
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL (2012, 2014, 2016, 2019)
- Knowledge of Windows Server operations (2012, 2016, 2019)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
