JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: HR Specialist
Reports To: Human Resources Manager/Director
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Employee
Pay: $15 - $17 hourly
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00PM (Monday - Thursday)
Location: Norcross, GA
Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist will administratively support the HR function at DDM, Inc.
Responsibilities (if applicable):
- Source, recruit and onboarding candidates, participate in career fairs
- Serves as point of contact for candidates
- Schedules required pre-employment appointments
- Completes reference checks and background checks
- Completes HR actions in HRIS systems
- Creates employee files in a manner compliant with regulatory and organization standards including completed I-9 Forms
- Assists in facilitating new hire orientation
- Completes HR audits
- I-9 Compliance
- Maintains employee records
- Answers employee questions regarding HR file compliance
- Attends Staff Meetings and other events
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required, Associates degree preferred
- At least 2 years of human resources experience required
- Experience in nonprofit or healthcare human resources preferred
- Paycom experience highly preferred
