What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian position at Developmental Disabilities Institute Inc?
Salary Range: $26.22 - $31.46 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify as necessary individual specific diet plans.
- Create menus for DDI personnel to follow.
- Participates as appropriate in training of DDI personnel on menus, diet plans, and modified diets.
- Participates in IDT conferences as required.
- Completes monthly and annual nutrition summaries.
- Ensures compliance with OMRDD regulatory standards.
- Liaison with facility nurse regarding nutrition issues.
- Routine observations on at least a quarterly basis of mealtimes for individuals with modified diets to ensure staff competency of meal preparation and diet appropriateness.
- Ensure Provision of nutritionally adequate and acceptable quality food.
- Ensure standards for sanitation, safety, and security in food preparation and service.
Qualifications:
- N.Y. State Registered Dietician’s License required
- N.Y. State Driver’s License preferred
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations preferred
- Experience with ID/DD preferred
