Location: Nassau and Suffolk County at our Adult and Children Day and Residential Services.

Position Type: Full-Time On-Site

Salary Range: $44,517.20 - $53,420.64

Work Schedule:Monday-Friday

  • 8am-4pm
  • No weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Daily attendance to students enrolled
  • Treatment of all children for illness and injuries-treat, record and notify parents
  • Administer medications daily, record and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Maintain up-to-date students’ records on all students, i.e., physicals and immunization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to modify the area to secure the safety of children
  • Ability to move/transport a child weighing up to 30 pounds to a height of 3 feet to place child on changing table
  • Must be able to move quickly after a child up to 200 feet to prevent elopement
  • N.Y. State Registered Nurse License required.
  • N.Y. State Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of OMRDD Regulations preferred.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking and critical thinking skills.
