Devin & Associates is seeking to add a full-time Tax Accountant with previous public accounting experience. Candidate will work closely with staff and partners to serve our clients and help continue to build our practice. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience with attestation engagements and tax preparation. Candidate will work across the many facets of public accounting, including tax return preparation and planning, tax research, assisting with Audits/Review/Compilations for Homeowners and Condominium Associations, as well as consulting clients as the need arises.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
· Preparation and review of business and individual income tax returns (Forms 1040/1120/1120-H/1065/990).
· Tax planning for business and individual clients.
· Manage multiple client projects.
· Issue identification including performing tax research and analysis necessary to solve problems.
· Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members and enhance client service.
· Understand the client’s industry and recognize trends and industry developments that impact the client.
· Perform an active role in the development and training of our staff.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
· Three to five years of experience in public accounting, specifically with tax preparation and attestation engagements including audits, reviews and compilations.
· The ability to prepare and review intermediate to complex business and individual income tax returns.
· Experience with multi-state tax compliance is a plus.
· Experience and familiarity with UltraTax and Quickbooks is required.
· Excellent written and verbal skills that effectively convey information.
· Strong general accounting background including preparation and compilation of financial statements.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
