Operations Coordinator (GIS)

Contract Position
The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of utility services across our service area. This includes overseeing field crews, managing work orders, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and facilitating communication between departments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work Order Management: Process and assign work orders to field crews, track progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate crew schedules based on workload, priorities, and geographic locations.
- Compliance Oversight: Monitor adherence to safety regulations, permitting requirements, and operational standards.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports on operational metrics, identify trends, and provide insights to management.
- Emergency Response: Support emergency operations during storms or outages, coordinate crew response and resource allocation.
- Customer Service Interaction: Address customer concerns related to service disruptions, scheduling appointments, and providing information.
- Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between field crews, dispatchers, customer service, and other internal departments.
- Training and Development: Provide support and training to field personnel on new procedures and safety protocols.
- System Monitoring: Utilize GIS and SCADA systems to monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of utility operations, including electrical distribution and gas infrastructure.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and compliance requirements.
