Development Manager - Industrial

The Opportunity

The Development Manager – Industrial (Jandakot Ascend Estate) is a diverse role which links to the broader national platform. The Development Manger will be responsible for delivery of new facility commitments, from opportunity identification, feasibility analysis, stakeholder and customer management. You will play a key role in growing the industrial business with a strong focus on delivery and assisting the development leasing team. Lastly, you will work closely with the National GM of Development, National GM of New Business and be assisted by Victorian-based Development Manager and Assistant Development (/Analytics) Manager.

You will make an impact by:

• Lead and manage industrial development projects from inception to completion.
• Align projects with corporate strategy and customer mandates.
• Drive development leasing and negotiate significant leases and rent reviews.
• Identify and implement value-adding opportunities for the industrial portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with major customers and stakeholders.
• Manage tenders, contracts, procurement, and cost management.
• Prepare project feasibilities and monitor performance against forecasts.
• Contribute to annual asset plans and portfolio investment strategies.
• Assist with investment committee papers and new leasing deals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

About You  

You are a passionate development manager, with a breadth of experience ranging from ADM to DM level. You will bring:

• Tertiary degree in Real Estate, Land Economics, Engineering, Construction, Management, Business, Property, Project Management, Law, or Town Planning.

• Relevant experience in industrial development and project management, including master planning, strategic development, asset planning, and refurbishment projects.
• Proven track record of managing the development process from concept to occupancy.
• Experience with front-end development processes such as Investment Committee papers, pre-leasing, and D&C negotiations.
• Strong understanding of planning, design delivery, and the development process.
• Expertise in industrial project delivery with hands-on industry experience and deep technical knowledge of property development and procurement.
• Proven track record in leading safety processes and continuous improvement.

• Proven track record of delivering development projects from conception to completion, achieving project goals.
• Broad property knowledge and strong business acumen, including financial analysis and feasibility development.
• Positive attitude and team spirit, with the ability to work independently and liaise with diverse personalities.
