We're looking for a Service Writer to join our team in a busy industrial environment. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring their needs are met throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and advise customers on service requirements for their industrial systems and components.
- Manage customer service inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Accurately estimate service costs and prepare quotes.
- Maintain clear communication with customers, keeping them informed of progress and any potential delays.
- Process payments and ensure accurate invoicing.
- Work collaboratively with the Shop Foreman and Parts Manager to prioritize jobs and develop quotes.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment.

The Person
- Proven experience in a customer service role, ideally within an industrial setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Windows applications (Excel and Outlook) and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an apprenticeship is a plus.
- A genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
