We are looking for a rockstar Lead Medical Assistant who wants the opportunity to work with a wonderful, talented doctor, in a supportive environment that is also fast paced with plenty of growth opportunity.

One of the most important qualities we are looking for in our Lead Medical Assistant is someone who is reliable, dependable, and on the ball. We need someone who is organized, proactive, and a fabulous collaborator and team player. We are looking for someone who is going to commit to this position long term, and has the capacity to grow with a fast-growing medical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Assist during vein procedures
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Assist with wound care patients (wound washing, wound wrapping, etc)
  • Onboarding and training new medical assistants.
  • Managing schedules of the medical assistants in the clinic.
  • Delegating tasks to medical assistants based on skill and workload.
  • Ensuring accuracy of patient documentation.
  • Collaborating with providers and relaying new information and updated policies to medical assistant staff.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of medical supplies.

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a lead medical assistant
  • Strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Diverse knowledge in clinical procedures
  • Ability to work independently and with a team when needed
  • Perception to anticipate staff and provider needs
  • Staying calm under pressure
  • Adaptability to new situations and circumstances
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and patient management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
