Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
- Check with patients and type up patients charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Assist during vein procedures
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Assist with wound care patients (wound washing, wound wrapping, etc)
- Onboarding and training new medical assistants.
- Managing schedules of the medical assistants in the clinic.
- Delegating tasks to medical assistants based on skill and workload.
- Ensuring accuracy of patient documentation.
- Collaborating with providers and relaying new information and updated policies to medical assistant staff.
- Monitoring inventory levels of medical supplies.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a lead medical assistant
- Strong time management skills
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Diverse knowledge in clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently and with a team when needed
- Perception to anticipate staff and provider needs
- Staying calm under pressure

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
